The team at Moonbase has built a bot that makes it incredibly easy to integrate your DAO with your Discord, giving your community a single place to see everything they need.
Before you begin, you’re going to have to set up a Discord server for your DAO. Once that’s up and running, follow the following steps:
Step 1: Go to moonbasebot.xyz and click “Invite”
Step 2: You’ll automatically be directed to Discord, where you’ll be able to start linking the bot to your DAO’s server
Step 3: Moonbase requires Administrator privileges within Discord so you’ll be taken to an authorization page
Step 4: Once authorized, you can close the Discord window and go over to your server. You’ll see a new channel called #moonbase-config with a new message from Moonbase
Step 5: Go back to your DAO’s page in Astro to copy your DAO address
Step 6: In #moonbase-config, type /activate[paste the copied DAO address]
Step 7: You’ll be redirected to moonbase.xyz’s activation page where you’ll click “Activate bot”
Step 8: You’ll be taken to your Near wallet to approve the 1 NEAR fee
Step 9: If it worked, you’ll be redirected to a successful activation page and you’re all set!
